Big news over the weekend is that the US government has averted a shutdown. They didn’t actually agree to anything except to kick the can down the road for 45 days, but that will likely have an effect on the Fed’s policy path.

Remember that 12 of the 19 FOMC board members forecasted one rate hike before the end of the year.
