I thought today’s FOMC meeting would be a snoozefest. In fact, the last thing I expected was for the Federal Reserve to bring forward rate hikes. After all, they have spent months telling us inflation was 'transitory’, and how the new AIT (average inflation targeting) would mean a new, kinder, gentler, Federal Reserve.
